The John Madejski Gallery opened in 2002. Housed in its own palm-thached roof crafted by Ecuadorian rainforest artisans, the gallery offers visitors the opportunity to view the artwork and crafts of leading Ecuadorian and Galapagueño artists, as well as featuring special exhibitions by international artists.

As a major Arts showpiece here in the Galapagos, at the Royal Palm Art Gallery we hold monthly and bi-monthly exhibitions as well as a benefic presentations and fundraising events to support social and conservation efforts in the Islands. The Gallery provides the perfect venue for holding conferences, performing Arts and other cultural events.

The Royal Palm Hotel can provide all the technical facilities and business support services for our corporate guests. Our business center is designed to cater for both residential and non-  residential guests.

Our business center has two executive boardrooms, high-tech audiovisual equipment, Wireless Internet access and a full range of support business services. Facilities include: - Desktop Computers with Internet Access - Computer projectors (Infocus) - Telephones - FAX -  Whiteboards

Library: Within the Business Centre, our cosy library has a range of books specializing in the unique wildlife, flora, geology, history and culture of the Galapagos Islands as well as a selection of board games and fiction. Take a moment to discover this magical archipelago in the tranquillity of our own library taking time to read that long awaited book by the fire in our study

The hotel has two floodlit outdoor hard surface tennis courts, which can be used by our guests. Balls and tennis racquets are available at the reception.

Everything about the Royal Palm celebrates the artistry of nature, beginning with the grounds and pool feature which seeks to create the perfect blend of nature’s beauty and comfort within the Galapagos highland surroundings. The area has been planted to create both secluded and open areas with secret gardens and full array of vegetation and color. The organic shapes and textures of the surrounding architecture only add to the naturalness and beauty for these spaces. You might slip away into the privacy of your own private Jacuzzi and then go for a refreshing swim in the more open pool area, which features its own waterfall and grotto. At night the pool is lit to create translucent cascade beneath equatorial skies.  All the above works together to create our oasis in paradise.

The hotel has its own private VIP lounge at the airport in Baltra island which caters all arriving and departing guests. Our private van will drive our guests from the VIP Lounge to the Itabaca Channel where a private chartered boat make the 500m. canal crossing to Santa Cruz Island.

The Mutiny Restaurant, is a country side restaurant which available for banqueting up to 80 people. A lava rock Fire Pit, an adobe bread and pizza oven and a spectacular view of the surrounding area are the highlights of this facility.

A quick but recommended visit to this spectacular geological work of art, allowing you to witness the dawn of this island around a million years ago, can be made by just hopping on one of our golf cars. Wander and climb your way through the cavernous lava tunnel via specially constructed bridges and stairways and be prepared for a surprise exit.

Although electrical lighting has been installed, flashlights and safety helmets are provided for this guided tour. Non-slip walking shoes are essential. This visit can be organized at reception at any time of the day.

Our Boutique has a permanent display of local handcrafts, silver jewelry exclusively designed for our guests, ceramics and souvenirs.
